Apsaalooke Foot Soldiers
|
As these braves scout ahead of their tribe, they scan the vast landscape, perhaps searching for any enemies, a new camp or food sources. Apsaakooke means "children of the large-beaked bird," which was misinterpreted to mean Crow. Today, the majority of the Crow people live on the Crow reservation in south central Montana; it is the largest of the seven reservations. |
