About the Artist
JoAnn Peralta crossed over from illustration into fine art in 2004, painting primarily historical figures, cowboy, Western, Native Americans and Southwestern Americans.
JoAnn has exhibited at Museum shows including the Autry Museum Masters of the American West Exhibition and Sale from 2010-2023, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum Small Works Great Wonders show in Oklahoma.
She was awarded the Artist's Choice Award at the Autry Museum for her painting Spanish Shawl II in 2019.
JoAnn's work has been featured in Art of the West Magazine, Western Art and Architecture Magazine, and Western Art Collector Magazine, February 2022, among other publications.
Her original paintings have been collected by many Forbes Fortune 500 collectors, as well as entertainment industry personalities, an NFL billionaire team owner, and one of the largest land owner families on the southwestern American landscape, among many others.
Spectrum News 1 interviewed her for an online video which was produced through the Autry Museum. It highlighted her Western, historical painting, "Peace in the Valley", Treaty Between The Kitchens Ranch and Cochise, Tucson, 1873, which sold at the Autry Masters Show in February 2020.
